John Deere's Agricultural Product Engineering Center is seeking a Senior Engineer for Drivetrain Applications. This position will be responsible for coordinating Drivetrain problem resolution between current product in factories (located globally) and their respective Product Line Management Teams and the Drivetrain Engineering technical resources. In this position, you will: Solve problems including issues with field service solutions, warranty problems, current production engineering changes, and product improvement projects. Leverage worldwide design resources in support of factory Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering. Prepare project based annual budgets as input to the Technical Engineering groups. Gain a thorough understanding of the Utility Tractor business, on a worldwide basis, and provide the technical leadership link of Drivetrain Engineering. Provide technical consultation and be recognized as a Drivetrain expert. Education Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline. Masters Degree in an Engineering discipline is desired. Required Skills and Experience 8 or more years of engineering experience. 3 or more years of experience in Drivetrain test, design, or applications. Strong communication and problem solving facilitation skills. Desired Skills and Experience Pro/ENGINEER modeling experience. Six Sigma training. Off-road Drivetrain specific experience.
