John Deere Credit is looking for an Auditor for the Wholesale Department. Responsibilities include: Conducts internal audits and reports to management conclusions about the adequacy of internal controls, accuracy of financial transactions and reported results, and compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards. Performs testing and interviews to document the internal controls related to various accounting business cycles of a Business Unit or Division. Performs testing and interviews to document a Business Unit's or Division's compliance with John Deere's accounting policies and procedures. Tests and looks for agreement between account balances, the general ledger system, and the exhibits prepared by the Business Unit or Division to ensure that financial results are fairly and accurately reported. Creates comments with recommendations related to the audit for management that will provide operational efficiencies. Completes special projects as requested. Skills Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or equivalent. Knowledge of accounting systems and policies, ideally including the process that has been followed at John Deere. Willingness to travel. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Understands the integrated systems of internal control and the relationship to disclosure and financial reporting. Understanding of audit standards and requirements Education Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience. Experience Experience in financial accounting assignments (Division Finance Director, Unit Controller, Accounting Manager or Accountant). Experience in financial management, accounting, treasury, etc. Experience in financial consolidations and/or planning assignments. Experience in Public Accounting.
