Our client in sunny Melbourne, Florida is seeking a Manufacturing & Technical Project Manager. Major Responsibilities/Functions: Manage and direct day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple technical and non-technical projects Facilitate planning, organizing and implementation of initiatives in support of the project Produce realistic schedules that balance quality and market pressures, accurately describe the tasks involved and include best efforts estimates provided by project team members Keep schedules up-to-date Report project status, deliverables, and strategy to all levels of organization, accurately communicate project progress, schedule changes, and risks, creating an enterprise view of all projects, ensuring alignment to corporate objectives Manage project dependencies, issues, and risks, and remove barriers to success Monitor and enforce accountabilities Facilitate operational planning and hand-offs Promote project management best practices and improve employee project management skills across the firm Create and establish Project Accounting (ROI, Profitability, Margins, Costs) Implement robust project methodology life-cycle across organization, including use of EPM tool by Microsoft Evoke creative and innovative thinking from team members while respecting individual ideas and contributions Academic requirements: Bachelor's Degree or higher required At least 8 years of work experience in Project Management, with track record demonstrating accomplishments as a Project Manager 5 years project management experience in a manufacturing and technical environment PMP/I Certification exceptional oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment PC-based computing experiences (all Microsoft programs, specifically EPM) is required.
