We are seeking a talented SDE/T who can contribute to Surface SDK automation and testing effort of this exciting experience.
Core Job Responsibilities:
As a software design test engineer in the SDK Test team you will be responsible for testing a variety of SDK related areas (e.g. APIs, app frameworks, development tools and samples, etc). You will be working closely with developers, program managers, user researchers and design engineers within a dynamic team environment. You will have the opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of system.
You will be responsible for -
Creating and articulating effective test strategies and plans
Designing and implementing required test automation
Working with other disciplines to drive testability requirements
Extending existing shared test infrastructure as needed
Executing manual, as well as ad hoc and scenario tests as appropriate
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year experience in both hands-on and automated testing (especially UI automation)
At least 2 years .NET framework and C# test development experience
Proven record of driving test deliverables and working effectively across teams
Demonstrated testing expertise in the creation of test plans, specs and schedules
Ability to evaluate and implement effective feature area test coverage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate software defects in the design
BA/BS degree in Computer Science with a minimum or 3 years of development experience in test is desired. Previous experience working on multiple projects within short timelines is preferable. Knowledge of and experience with existing automation frameworks and testing methodologies is considered a strong plus.
