John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects. This position will be located in the Western territory and support (WA, ID, OR, CA, NV, UT and AR) John Deere Credit in Johnston, Iowa is looking for a Regional Manager Field Service Professional to Manage Field Services Professionals and Contractors in assigned regional territories. Responsible for all in-field crop losses and reserves for crop insurance products offered by John Deere Risk Protection (JDRP). Assures company profitability through efficient and accurate field inspections and other related in-field services. Works with JDRP Underwriting and cooperative universities to improve in-field inspection accuracy. Manages all reviews in assigned territory. Major Duties: · Recruits and hires all contractors in assigned territory. · Manages, develops and evaluates all fulltime and contract adjusters in assigned territory, including oversight of budget for the region. · Manages, directs all staff in assigned territory and communicates with the Regional Claims Analyst for work loads, assignment of claims for territory. · Updates information and reports to Finance and Risk Management team loss reserves and Incurred but not reported(IBNR). · Communicates regurlarly to Regional Marketing and Sales Manager, Regional Claims Manager field status updates, customer problems, agent problems and policy problems. · Facilitates and supports the development and training of assigned employees. · Manages compliance audits for assigned territory. Qualifications Knowledge of the basics of insurance statutes and regulations within area of responsibility. Ability to use various department specific computer programs. Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Knowledge of products and services offered by the appropriate area of responsibility. Knowledge of insurance program(s), claims provisions of insurance policies, loss methodologies, etc. Experience in supervising technical, professional and administrative employees Demonstrable experience in specialized area of insurance such as crop, casualty, property, etc. Crop Insurance experience is mandatory. Claims management and crop field loss adjustment experience Education: · Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience.
