Come be a part of the E&D mobile team and delight millions of mobile phone users with amazing music, video and games experience! We are extending entertainment experiences and services to mobile phones - the most personal and most ubiquitous device in the modern era.
We are looking for an exceptional senior release program manager/project manager for the E&D mobile team with two simple objectives:
1. Drive and ensure the on time delivery of end-to-end product offerings
2. Build world class, agile, and repeatable processes for shipping high quality and inspirational consumer products over multiple releases
Because we are a startup team, you will not only play a key leadership role from the get-go, but also have a ton of room to define the project manager/release manager role for the org. Sample responsibilities include but are certainly not limited to:
Communicate project plans and status both within the org and to leaders across E&D
Spearhead a cross-discipline effort to map out the release roadmap for the E&D mobile product offerings over multiple versions
Drive the development and management of the overall product schedule
Partner with the leadership in other engineering functional groups to effectively manage the costing, planning, design, implementation, stabilization and deployment of mobile products.
Plan and manage the product distribution vehicles to external partners such as handset OEMs and mobile operators across the world
Constantly drive for improvements on how we operate as a team and build processes that will position the team/business for success and long term growth
Abundant opportunities to interact with business development, product planning, marketing, operations, build, test, setup, localization, distribution partners and many more to manage the product from a holistic view.
The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a release manager or project manager for Microsoft products
Completed at least one full product cycle in a similar role for of a medium size or large release at Microsoft
Superb ability to drive for results, stay focus, and bring clarity in the face of ambiguity and uncertainty
Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and cross group collaboration skills
Strong passion for mobile entertainment, media and practical knowledge of these areas
A BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering and/or equivalent industry experience is preferred
