John Deere Agriculture Equipment is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to provide work direction to test engineers and technicians. In this position, you will:
Review and approve verification requests written by design engineers.
Lead software, electrical/electronic verification projects, and continually evaluate and improve verification methods.
Review and develop electrical/software product verification plans and enhance the understanding of other test and design engineers in the area of software verification.
Lead design risk assessments and develop effective test plans for seeding products.
Lead tractor/seeding compatibility activities designed to thoroughly evaluate and detect any integration issues early in the development process.
Perform verification activities for a wide range of systems including hydraulics, electronics and electrical, seed metering technology, and ground engaging equipment.
Travel up to 25%.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
Master of Science degree in Electrical, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering, desired.
Required Skills and Experience
Expertise in electrical and software systems.
Test or Design Analysis experience.
Background in data acquisition equipment.
Desired Skills and Experience
Expertise in hydraulic systems.
Design related assignment.
Knowledge of seeding equipment and systems.
