[link removed] [link removed] ASPEN RANCH, a co-ed residential treatment center located on a large ranch in Loa , Utah, just minutes from Capital Reef National Park, is seeking a full timeAcademic Director. Job Description: The Academic Director will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of therapists, teachers, residential staff and medical professionals who work together to help adolescents reach their fullest potential. The Academic Director is responsible for all areas of the academic program at the school. Duties will include recruiting, hiring and training of teachers; scheduling classes for teachers, teaching and substituting as necessary; scheduling observations and performance reviews; conducting in-house professional development workshops; overseeing level testing, class placement, level changes; reviewing curriculum and materials; maintaining student academic files; orienting new students; ensuring compliance with academic policies, frequently communicate with parents on students progress; and act as a liaison for all teaching staff. Qualified candidates should possess the following:
Masters Degree, or Doctorate in Special Ed. or Social Services
Basic Administrative/Supervisory Certificate through Utah State Office of Education
Computer proficiency (database; Word; Excel) Excellent interpersonal skills:
