John Deere Harvester Works is seeking a 2 nd shift Maintenance Module Leader to supervise semi to highly skilled maintenance employees on 2nd shift to ensure the manufacture of products within established delivery, quality, safety and cost standards. In this position, you will:

Supervise 25 UAW skilled trade employees.
Coach and mentor wage employees in an effort to instill self-managed philosophy.
Be directly responsible for managing small tool account and crib operations for the factory in excess of $1 million.
Supervise maintenance of all internal production racks, dollies, carts, and machine tools.
Integrate and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with production departments.
Lead continuous improvement activities.

Education

Bachelor Degree or equivalent supervisory experience.
Required Skills and Experience

Manufacturing and/or operations experience.
Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and scheduling.
Good verbal communication skills with all levels of personnel.
MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desired Skills and Experience

Good mechanical aptitude.
Supervisory experience in a union environment.
Experience in Production Control Systems.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, Kanban, Demand Flow Technology.
Knowledge of general accounting in support of establishing and managing departmental operating budgets.
Knowledge of shop floor manufacturing and/or warehouse and distribution production pay systems.
