This firm is looking for an energetic and focused Motion Product Engineer/Specialist to be responsible for the development of the company's Servo and Motion Control business in the US, Mexico, and Latin America. Responsibilities include leading development of training materials, application and demo support of Motion Solution Engineers in the field, development of technical sales collateral, and training of Technical Support and Motion Solution Engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create a center of competency for servo and motion control solutions within the organization. Assist Motion Solutions Engineers and Technical Support with difficult Motion related problems and application solutions.
Specify and develop training materials in conjunction with the Training Department.
Develop and implement servo and motion certification courses for Channel Partners, System Integrators, and Omron specialist personnel.
Provide training to TSG, Motion Solutions Engineer, and FAE personnel on new products.
Test & evaluate new products before they are released to the North American market.
Assist in creating new market/product specifications, and interact with development teams.
Develop product support procedural guides (tech notes, etc.).
Build & maintain product demo equipment for use in Application proving and customer sales activities.
Evaluate competitor products and develop Delta-Sell/Inoculate materials.
Evaluate 3rd-party products potentially to be marketed.
REQUIREMENTS:
BSEE or BSME from a four year college or related technical school.
5-7 years of engineering experience in servo and motion control products focused on the industrial market segment.
Knowledge of automation products involving servo and motion control, PLCs, Ladder Logic, flow charts, and industrial programming techniques.
Knowledge of communications platforms, motion bus networks, Mechatrolink, DeviceNet, etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and MS Project.
Ability to display leadership characteristics and able to motivate other individuals.
Ability to share detailed technical information in an easy to understand manner working in a consultative manner with customers.
Strong analytical thinking.

Assertive attitude and detail oriented.
Ability to multi-task and work cross functionally.
Strong organization skills.
Team player mentality, but able to work independently as required.
