Position Description
Proficient regarding the USG regulatory regime and international regulatory regimes as it applies to export and import controls, and practical experience in working such issue with State, Commerce, Treasury and Defense. Proficient in drafting and reviewing State and Commerce export license applications and other forms of export approvals, transmittal letters, advisory opinions and attachments. Monitor export applications to ensure timely approval and understand strategies to ensure such approval. Understand the USG export approval review process within various USG agencies. Experience in commodity jurisdictional issues between agencies. Participate in policy formation through company or industry associations activities in support of initiatives on matters of interest and /or concern to company. Review Federal Register and identify, analyze and interpret notices of proposed rulemaking notices as well as other impacting requirements and be able to pass on guidance to business units. Ability to understand both business requirements and government regulations and synthesize the two interests. Must have the ability to understand and manage complex technical issues as they relate to the aerospace industry.

Education and/or Experience

Proven skills in export administration and compliance with specific emphasis on International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Operational experience and Washington, DC experience preferred.
