The Global Service Operations Manager will provide a combination of strategic and operational thought leadership for ABG and drive the operational implementation of product strategies and processes which directly support field productivity and revenue growth. The E&D Ad Business Group (ABG) provides a globally consistent, value-driven advertiser sales experience for some of the industry's biggest brands.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Team Performance - Leading and motivating a team of technical & service professionals to execute & deliver a world-class digital advertising experience...team based in Redmond & London
* Business Performance - Develop & implement business performance monitoring/measuring tools, analyze, and provide monthly/quarterly business insights & recommendations to management & key stakeholders to drive business process improvements, manage costs and support new business development/revenue
* Product GTM Management - Ensure that product planning teams deliver high-quality product insight, strategy, features and detailed product plans that support delivery of world-class experiences. Review plans and provide feedback on required processes, policies, procedures, training, etc....participating where needed to ensure the successful Release-to-Sales (RTS)
* Sales Strategy Implementation - Transform how Microsoft works with our top customers. Work with Sales management and various Business Groups/product teams (MSN, Xbox, Zune, Surface, etc) to determine new revenue streams and enable the operational & service infrastructure to support. A strong business process person is needed that can act as a liaison between our sales team and the various planning & program teams
* Evangelism - Represent the analysis, insight, and views of the ABG Service Ops team with Country and Regional Management, Redmond Teams, and Senior Managers across the Xbox, Zune & MSN.com businesses. Conduct partner education meetings and drive the on boarding process for new team members, as appropriate. Deliver effective cross-subsidiary or regional integration with Redmond-based and/or field counterparts for the purpose of process integration, scale, and operational best practice sharing.
* Future Platforms - Identify & deliver feature requirements for future platform releases to improve efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction
* Compliance - Ensure business models are compliant with MSFT policy, Sarbanes Oxley controls, and audit standards
Education and Experience:
* BS/BA in Accounting, Business, or Finance required, MBA preferred
* 6+ years relevant experience (product, business, and/or financial operations management)
* Business and operational analysis experience required
* Strong analytical and organizational skills
* Strong project management skills and ability to drive process improvements in business operations
* Demonstrated change management, project management, and problem solving skills
* Experience working with Product Management or Product Development in software development
* Demonstrated success working in a distributed-team environment
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
* Detail oriented with ability to think "big picture"
* Understanding of key trends and levers that drive the business
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Familiarity with vendor management, International business and customer support a plus
* Online industry experience & passion required
