TheSr. Administrative Associate will provide administrative support to the SMDEP (Summer Medical and Dental Education Program) Director and the team including scheduling appointments and conference calls, electronic and hard-copy file maintenance, managing payments to vendors and contractors, processing travel reimbursements and check requests, drafting correspondence, assisting with Web site updates, formatting complex PowerPoint presentations and Word documents, and other general administrative duties. The Associate will also coordinate internal and external meetings, provide staff support to the application service during peak season, maintain the inventory of educational materials and promotional items, and provide general support for the Diversity Policy and Programs work unit.
Qualifications: High school diploma required, with 5-7 years of administrative experience and/or Associate's degree. Candidates should have significant experience handling meeting logistics and travel arrangements; strong oral and written communication skills including note-taking, writing meeting minutes, drafting routine correspondence, and proofreading; proficiency in MS Office (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel); excellent time management and organizational skills; the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and proficiency in using the Internet to collect information; experience updating Web content is desired.
