John Deere Intelligent Vehicle Systems is seeking a Regional AMS Specialist located in Valdosta, GA to lead initiatives on precision agriculture products and provide expert development, delivery and resolution to product support and marketing activities. In this position, you will:
Work with dealers to recruit and develop employees to sell and support AMS (Agriculture Management Solutions) products.
Support targeted dealer organizations by executing the Dealer Consultant Development Plan.
Work with dealer employees in field, to ensure development of AMS sales and product support techniques.
Assist in developing and executing marketing plans with dealer; monitor and assess dealer results.
Work with dealer to replace or upgrade low-performing employees.
Assist Field Manager and dealer with customer visits.
Support regional marketing events, farm show guest speakers, large producer group meetings, and University Program guest speakers.
Work with branch, factory, & tactical marketing to develop tactical plans; provide feedback to marketing & factory on success of current plans.
Serve as subject matter expert to develop training curriculum and coordinate training requests.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in an Agricultural Sciences, Ag Systems Management, Agronomy, Marketing, or Engineering/Technology discipline, or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Demonstrated sales and marketing skills.
Knowledge of precision ag products, customers, markets and competitors.
Knowledge of precision agriculture industry
Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Daily travel within assigned region; willingness to travel within North America 20-30%.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience working in customer service or related customer-oriented environment.
Understanding of dealer development practices.
Field experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer network and broad product knowledge.
Practical experience with John Deere machinery and equipment.
Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience.
