John Deere Credit was founded to offer financing solutions to the industries we serve and the customers we know best. In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services. John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects.
John Deere Credit is seeking an IT Analyst. Responsibilities include:
Provides application development and support in the planning, delivery and/or support of business processes utilizing information technology and business practices.
Serves as a key team member which may include being on multiple teams and/or team lead.
Serves as a consultant or expert and actively shares knowledge across workgroups.
Applies information analyses to optimize the integration of major strategic business processes.
Designs and implements complex changes impacting several processes with minimal direction.
Primarily performs as an individual contributor, but may supervise a small work team.
Responsible for utilizing software development skills to enhance and support two major systems enabling the Wind Energy (Renewables) business line.
Enhance and support the newly purchased SCADA monitoring system.
Enhance and support the newly implemented SAP environment, including analyzing, enhancing these configurations in a new project or support environment with limited coding.
Lead the Identification, analysis and selection of complex information technology and business practices to support strategic business process/plans.
Participates as required to design, develop, test and integrate applications of high complexity.
Lead in the implementation of information technology and business processes of high complexity.
Supports, evaluates, and continuously improves information technology and business processes to maintain alignment with business plans of medium-high complexity and medium-high risk.
Leads the development and may manage a project plan and schedule for a given functional area.
Acquires solid foundation of project management.
Engages in expanded contact with varied and multiple departments and functional operations; actively participating in strategic business relationships and/or issues.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
Understanding of database administration, database design.
Software programming skills necessary to create and maintain host based and/or web based applications.
Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions.
Business Process Knowledge of assigned area(s) and/or function(s).
Analytical skills.
Beneficial but not required:
Any Microsoft .NET, Sharepoint, web-parts development experience
Any SAP background: FICO and or Materials Management (MM)
Any Java development experience
Willing to learn multiple software development skills
Education:
Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
Relevant work experiences:
Implementation of major software programs which involve change in process.
Previous experience in programming/software development.
Experience with applications, computing and networking.
Information technology experience and/or business experience.
Work experience in a team environment.
