The Senior Process Chemical Engineer will have chief responsibility for the detailed design and specification of GE W&PT proprietary industrial evaporators and crystallizers, ancillary and auxiliary systems.
This individual will lead projects and initiatives with a broad scope and high impact to the business and is a recognized expert in a specialized field. He or she is responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional area of expertise.
* Serves as a key point of contact for commercial teams in assessing opportunities and developing bid proposals and for the Project Management and Engineering teams in developing solutions to waste at the project start up phases (including travel to job site).
* Executes the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
* Recommends approach to meet the technical and program requirements and is responsible for overall development of the Process Flow Diagrams, heat and mass balances and P&ID'S Designs and plans measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and pilot plant operations.
* Provides technical guidance to junior engineers in the design of crystallizers and evaporators; mentor others in the organization.
* Assures proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
* Participates as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program review.

Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of evaporators and crystallizers.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to travel to project sites as required.

* 15+ years of industrial experience in the design of evaporators and crystallizers.
* Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
* Ability to guide and influence others.
* Demonstrated process orientation in approach to work.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* PC Proficiency.
