We are looking for an exceptional individual to comprehensively assess the long-term opportunities for future mobile service innovation, develop a strategic framework for prioritizing investments, drive cross-Microsoft alignment and coordination at platform, application, service and server-level, and to incubate and build out the business plan for one or more investments, that you would potentially lead.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1) Identify, through broad scope of cross-company mobile strategy exposure, business, market or product gaps and opportunities in Microsoft's mobile strategy and scoping and recommending strategic solutions
2) Prepare the Microsoft-wide Mobile Innovation Opportunity Map in partnership with stakeholders
3) Develop a strategic prioritization and portfolio investment framework
4) Form and drive a cross-group mobile planning forum and process
5) Forge and maintain Microsoft-wide mobility roadmaps and investment plans
6) Lead the preparation and delivery of executive review content and communications, in conjunction with senior engineering and marketing leaders across Microsoft on a quarterly basis.
7) Build out detailed mobile opportunity analyses, requirements and business models for highest potential new investments and champion their funding and development. It is intended that the ideal candidate be prepared to assume the business and marketing leadership for one or more of these new investments.
Well-qualified candidates will possess and be able to demonstrate through experience and interview:
1) Excellent strategic thinking and analysis skills to frame and inform key decisions.
2) Strong product planning, market analysis and business model development skills
3) Passion and broad knowledge and insight into the mobile industry from user experience model and consumer entertainment services to enterprise solutions and developer platform
4) Proven ability to define and manage organizational processes, cross-group collaboration and exert effective virtual team leadership.
5) Agility and ability to influence to drive results and agreement across organizational boundaries.
6) Excellent communication and presentation skills to executive, technical, and business audiences
7) Familiarity with and technical proficiency in mobile technology

Professional Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have an MBA or the professional experience equivalent thereof, and at least 4 years of corporate strategy, product planning, or product management work experience in the mobile and services industry, that has included exposure to and effective leadership in driving cross-group strategic coordination.
Education:
An undergraduate degree is required, and an MBA is preferred.
