Software Development Engineer (SDE)
Microsoft's Premium Mobile Experiences (PMX) group is quickly developing the next generation of consumer mobile with focus on making our users smile. We're looking for the right people to help drive this mission.
PMX Service Platform Team is currently looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to help take the consumer mobile experience to the next level. Your background delivering robust, scalable, production server solutions will be your ticket. Qualified applicants should have at least 4-7 years experience with web services and/or client/server architectures; have excellent debugging skills, and familiarity with test automation and performance analysis tools. The ideal candidate would be proficient in C#/.NET development and have experience with message bus architectures and high throughput I/O. A BA/BS in CS or related technical field is preferred.
Responsibilities:
? Work with members of Redmond and Palo Alto teams to drive innovative, robust solutions, from specification to design to implementation. Occasional travel will be required.
? Provide technical leadership for subject area/discipline.
? Contribute to library software.
? Create and enhance inter-component protocols and APIs.
? Explore, evaluate, and recommend new technologies.
? Work closely with QA group during each release lifecycle.
? Document and test all work.
Qualifications
? 7+ years of software engineering experience, 4+ years on large-scale, scalable, high-throughput production service back-ends.
? Superb analysis, design, coding and debugging skills.
? Object-oriented design and development expertise.
? Familiarity with test automation and performance analysis tools.
? Proficiency in C#/.NET development, or server development experience in Java and/or C++ with a desire to learn C#/.NET
? BA/BSCS or equivalent industry experience.
