The Hardware Software team is looking for a self-motivated software engineer with experience utilizing web-based services and devices. Someone who brings strong technical experience, has the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members, likes to ship software to millions of users, and has a desire to be in on the ground floor of innovation as we build an integration platform that will become the standard way devices on the Window's platform access web-based services.
The Hardware Software team believes in good upfront software design and high quality coding practices. We are a small software team (inside the larger Microsoft Hardware Group) that believes in early prototyping and feasibility, and that refactoring based on experience keeps our code base healthy.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Language: 5+ years of experience in Industry utilizing C/C++ to write high quality shipping code.
* Services: 2+ years of experience accessing and utilizing external resources through COM.
* Design: Proven ability to design new code and redesign old code.
* Ownership: Proven record of strong ownership of a feature or technology areas and a drive for results.
EDUCATION
Bachelor or Masters of Science (or equivalent) in either Computer Engineering or Computer Science required.
