SENIOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Our client's Agriculture Equipment Division is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to be responsible for the Electrical System Project Leadership of World Wide Design and Development of Cab/Operator Stations for Harvesting Vehicles. In this position, you will:
-1. Be responsible for managing operator station electrical component and operator interface design and development using (Enterprise Product Development Process) EPDP principles and meeting program objectives such as schedule, budget, unit cost, capital, etc. Technical leader capable of determining a design that will meet the world-wide harvesting vehicle requirements while optimizing for cost, quality, and performance.
-1. Lead multi-unit, multi-vehicle electrical system development. This includes facilitating meetings, developing and executing project plans, determining critical path issues, defining action plans, and communicating project status to management, other units, and suppliers.
-1. Provide work direction to the electrical system, hardware, harness, sensors, and display engineering group. Work in conjunction with other vehicle groups with key electronic suppliers to insure that components meet the product cost, quality, and performance requirements.
-1. Develop and/or execute product verification and validation activities (design analysis, simulation, lab tests, field test, etc.) for electrical components and systems.
Qualifications
Education
-1. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
-1. Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, desired.
Required Skills and Experience
-1. 5+ years of experience with electrical hardware and software development for vehicle applications.
-1. Experience with electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical systems.
-1. Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
-1. Industry experience with electrical system design (agricultural, construction, automotive, etc.).
-1. Experience with tools for system modeling, simulation, analysis, and verification (MATLAB/Simulink, Caliber, LabVIEW, or dSpace).
