John Deere Construction & Forestry is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead, plan, and develop verification plans for electrical components, sub-systems, and systems and perform bench level and on-machine software verification. In this position, you will:

Lead, develop, and drive improvements to the current hardware testing process.
Execute test or analysis plan for product verification and validation.
Develop, mentor, and train other Electrical Test Engineers on the process and methods.
Participate on internal teams to drive methodology and efficiency improvements.
Provide problem solving of electrical issues on new product development and current production.
Lead the Electrical testing activities on a specific product group.
Participate on testing teams as the electrical representative, ensuring electrical activities and plans are formulated and followed.
Participate on PDP (Product Delivery Process) teams as the Electrical testing representative, ensuring testing activities and plans are formulated and followed.
Participate in print reviews and design reviews of new products.

Education

Four year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Required Skills and Experience

3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work.
Knowledge of environmental verification testing.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience with electrical wire harness circuits and routing
Experience with electrical components such as batteries, starters, alternators, rocker switches, relays, solenoids, sensors, actuators, controllers and connectors.
Ability to work with suppliers in the application of electrical components.
Experience in software verification or design
Understanding of serial communications.
