John Deere Seeding Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work on continuous improvement of the production line for all shifts in Valley City. In this position, you will:
Provide manufacturing engineering support for improvement of safety, quality, cost and delivery on the production floor.
Champion and improve overall product flow and line design within the factory, working through and directing projects from start to finish.
Use Wplanner and other tools to develop, analyze and improve production processes.
Use AutoCAD and/or Pro-E to develop, analyze and improve manufacturing layouts and tools.
Work with all types of people and personalities, including assemblers, other engineers, suppliers, etc.
Be required to interface with both 1 st and 2 nd shift employees.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
AutoCad and/or Pro-E experience.
Ability to plan and lead implementation of projects from start to finish.
Ability to work with, communicate with, and provide leadership and direction to a diverse group of production employees.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality.
1 plus years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role.
Strong knowledge of Vismockup, WPlanner, and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience performing line balancing and conducting time studies.
Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools.
