IT Manager, Operations
Informatica is looking for an experienced IT professional to manage our worldwide enterprise operations. In this role, the manager will lead a highly skilled team responsible for Informatica's worldwide windows system administration, virtualization, storage, disaster recovery, and application administration activities.
Primary Responsibilities
· Managing worldwide IT Operations activities, ensuring high availability for all IT operations services
· Ensuring that service delivery and customer satisfaction exceed published service levels and coordinating escalation of issues as required.
· Providing the vision and leadership to leverage technologies, processes, and disciplines for delivering best in class methods throughout IT Operations
· Performing project management activities for enterprise-wide IT initiatives
· Planning and managing to the operations budget
· Leading Informatica's virtualization efforts while marketing and expanding the virtualization program throughout Informatica
· Managing Informatica's Windows server environments, including anti-virus, patching, monitoring, and other activities that will maintain the integrity and uptime requirements for the company
· Leading a team of application administrators that provide support to a variety of Informatica's applications, including PeopleSoft, Websphere, Siebel, and SharePoint.
· Leading Informatica's disaster recovery planning and testing efforts.
Requirements:
· Effective relationship management, communication, and presentation skills with demonstrated success dealing effectively with customers, vendors, peers and senior management
· 8 years of IT experience with 4 years in IT operations
· 2 years demonstrated experience implementing virtualization with VMware
· 3 years of relevant IT management experience
· Demonstrable experience supporting global operations and locations
· Demonstrable experience managing a data center
· Demonstrated ability to manage both a virtual and local team
· Proven Project Management experience, PMP certification a plus
· Experience managing a departmental budget
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering
· ITIL certification, a plus
· Occasional travel required
