Description :
*Participate in technical design reviews to ensure testability and that user requirements are met through QA testing.
*Devise & execute software quality assurance test plans for verifification of generated systems and application upgrades for Web and other products such as, IDAMS and WMS are integral to this role.
*Work directly with the QA Supervisor and team, participating in defining an over-all plan for testing and verifying software upgrades of software vendors used by Web and other electronic products (i.e. * Verity, eRights, Oracle, SQLServer and BEA WebLogic).
*Participate in the coordination of schedules for software upgrades, quality assurance tests for all H/W and S/W systems projects assigned.
*Analyze and report testing results, make recommendations in regards to necessary changes, as well as take on the project leader role for specific projects.
*Report progress and problems to the Manager, Operations and Staff Director.
*Work with the team to define and develop QA methodology and standard practices, prepare testing documentation as defined by the current methodology, along with develop and maintain repository of test scripts.
*Work with the Development and IT Infrastructure team to debug performance problems.
*This role will further involve mentoring team members, evaluating QA testing tools for the Web, PCs and servers to monitor proper performance in production.
*Keeping current of software/hardware developments in the field of QA and communicating them to management and colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*5-7 years in a software-related field or in software quality assurance related field.
*Basic computer knowledge to install and use software and evaluate it.
*Excellent analytical skills required in order to trouble-shoot the causes of failed tests.
*Knowledge of quality assurance principles and software development is required, as is some knowledge of Web systems architecture.
*Exposure to client/server technologies and Web design.
*Knowledge of automated testing tools (such as Mercury QTP and Mercury LoadRunner) required.
*Good analytical and technical communication skills required.
