Position Description
Information Assurance Systems Engineer will work as part of the Sunnyvale Information Assurance team in the development of secure networks for tactical/strategic communication systems used by the military services and the DoD. The Applicant will provide technical support, process expertise and oversight as part of the program overall system engineering effort for Information Security (INFOSEC) design and development to include security architecture analysis, security requirements definition and allocation, identification of system security vulnerabilities, key management and implementation of risk management, information assurance, Computer Security (COMPUSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC) and Transmission Security (TRANSEC). Knowledge of NSA certification process to include NSA INFOSEC requirements for design and implementation; NSA Certification and/or DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) Accreditation documentation. Occasional travel will be required to interface with customers and program related meetings, conferences, and briefings.

Education and/or Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Knowledge of cryptographic module development and certification desired; Candidate should be familiar with networking and key management techniques including electronic Key Management System (EKMS), HAIPE and secure networking. Experience in NSA or (DIACAP) architecture on DoD Program desired. Familiarity with current versions of programmable cryptographic engines in the market today, knowledge of guards/firewalls/routers, security software design and development (object oriented programming), and multilevel secure operating systems a plus. Ability to Obtain Interim and/or Final Clearances (Post Start) - US Citizenship Required.
