How would you like to serve as a Communications Manager on a team that makes really cool products like Zune, Xbox 360, Surface, Roundtable so many others?

As Communications Manager in the Learning and Communications team in E&D MSC, you will deliver world-class Communications Solutions that align with our long-range plan to drive organizational effectiveness, instill communications as core organizational values and create a culture that enables and empowers people to do their best work.

Roles and Responsibilities may include:
Development/Execution of overall E&D MSC Communications Strategy and Roadmap
Communications Support and Expertise for a 600+ person organization
Executive Presentation content development, preparation and email and web content creation
Development and implementation of communication projects to support the organization. These plans may include:
o Rhythm of the business (ROB)
o All Hands meetings
o Newsletters
o Content management
o Internal & external speaking events
o Communications Product Kit
o Customer Satisfaction Surveys
o Product Launch Announcements
o Customer Satisfaction/Employee Satisfaction Surveys
o Release Communications
o Overall Communications Strategy
o Diversity, Morale and People Readiness Communications
Implement communication plans including:
o Driving standard communication practices, processes and branding across the functions and organizations.
o Driving ongoing content creation and publishing for a central E&D Website (Must be have strong Sharepoint knowledge and skills).
o Collaborating with other Communications team at Microsoft to define and manage content that supports individual communication strategies, while ensuring alignment to overall corporate and organizational messaging strategy.
o Providing direct instruction or coaching of employees in all aspects of writing, editing and publishing of communications.
o Collecting feedback on communication effectiveness and use results to improve processes and outcomes.

This position requires extensive cross-group coordination at all levels, experience working with senior management, superior organization, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to think strategically and drive compelling messaging, presentations, speeches, demos, and other communications. The Communications Manager should be able to understand complex business strategy and technology, and be able to translate it into understandable and compelling messages, presentations and demos. This is a highly matrixed position and the ability to manage demands and leverage the team appropriately and meet tight deadlines will be a key to success in this role. The Communication Manager must also possess the maturity to respond to changing demands, responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining composure and meeting expectations.

Qualifications:
4+ years experience in communications, marketing, public relations, content management, project management and or/journalism.
Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality executive level communications.-
Strong project management and cross-group collaboration skills, demonstrating the ability to plan and drive for results and hit deadlines while working with diverse groups within the organization and partnering teams at Microsoft.
Outstanding writing and editing skills with fanatical attention to detail. A highly organized, process-focused aptitude is required to manage projects with many moving parts, people and organizations.
Expert tools knowledge and technical skills working with Sharepoint, html, PowerPoint, Word, LiveMeeting, Videos and other productivity applications
Strong skills in Excel and Powerpoint required and working knowledge of core MS systems preferred

A Bachelors Degree is required
Master's Degree is a plus. Experience in the areas of Communications, Public Relations and Project Management are a must with a proven track record to deliver. "can-do" attitude and a "go-getter" spirit. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
