The Xbox 360 Silicon Manufacturing team is looking for a technically strong and experienced Product Engineering Manager to lead a technical team charged with delivery of high performance, high volume silicon products for the current and future generations of Xbox360 consoles.
In this role you will
Lead a team responsible for pre-production to EOL for high performance components which meet quality, schedule, and cost targets.
Help drive world class quality in all aspects of the product engineering.
Work with major Foundry partners on VDSM (90nm to 45nm) leading edge silicon technologies.
Work with leading assembly technologies for high power high IO products analyzing CPI.
Interact with finance organization to set and meet component cost targets and yield targets.
Team with internal customers, such as supply chain management, to ensure continuity of supply.
Work with MS console and system level engineering teams to insure quality and performance of the component at the Xbox product level.
Job Requirements
This position requires a BSEE (MSEE preferred) with 10 years experience in product engineering positions. Some travel within the US and to Europe and Asia may be required. Occasional night phone conferences may be required.
This is a technical management position and strong technical skills are required. In particular, the ideal candidate will have the ability and seniority to oversee the technical work performed not only internally but at world class vendor facilities.
The position also requires strong management skills: ability to set clear project goals, understand dependencies, allocate and motivate resources, deal with complicated issues as they arise, and execute on established timelines. It is also critical that the candidate have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good organizational ability including attention to detail.
