Responsibilities
· Manage monthly close process. The close process requires the recording and reconciliation of all of the division's business units and consolidation of those results.
· Provide monthly, quarterly and year end reporting data to Corporate for consolidation in Comcast external reporting.
· Prepare monthly financial statement package for Division management. The reporting package will include financial and metrics based information and analysis.
· Disseminate monthly financial information within the division to allow management team to make relevant business decisions.
· Oversee the various controls processes through out the division and when necessary develop new control processes as new businesses are acquired or as current businesses develop new systems.
Ensure compliance to all corporate policies including Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
· Manage the purchasing, accounts payable and payroll processes for entire division.
· Act as a liaison between division's Finance department and Corporate Tax Department to ensure compliance to all relevant tax jurisdictions as well as appropriate tax strategies are implemented.
· Review and monitor the timely completion of system balance sheet reconciliations.
· Select, train, direct and motivate Division accounting staff of approx 8 staff.
· Manage various audits performed for the division including both external and internal auditors.
· Responsible for all accounting policy interpretations and research for presentation and approval to Division management and Corporate Accounting
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting with CPA required.
· Ten to fifteen years of progressively responsible accounting experience. At least 3 years media industry experience strongly preferred.
· Strong leadership, communication, supervisory and organizational skills.
