We are offering an extraordinary opportunity to drive Microsoft Hardware sales within the Entertainment and Devices Division as a member of the U.S. Hardware Category Marketing team. We are currently looking for a Category Marketing Manager to focus on our Keyboard and/or Mouse products. You'll work closely with the Hardware Product Group (BG) and the Sales and Marketing team to drive new and existing business to market by delivering effective sales and marketing programs to our Retail and Channel partners. The team's top mission is to drive market-share, revenue and profit for Microsoft Hardware products sold in the Retail and Channel Partner segments. We partner with Microsoft Hardware Sales and the Microsoft Hardware Division to develop effective sales and marketing strategies and programs that our selling partners can use to maximize Microsoft Hardware sales in-store and on-line. Our team focuses on the category and business management of our Hardware products which includes utilizing market share analysis, category trends and performance, revenue/unit forecasting, advertising ROI, in-store execution, merchandising, and marketing programs to manage and influence channel execution.
This position requires someone who is highly results oriented, has strong project planning and organizational skills, and has strong demonstrated analytical abilities that can help inform development of innovative marketing programs & promotions. Strong preference for broad retail experience and insight. The ideal candidate has some Hardware or consumer products experience and a proven track record in working across sales and marketing teams. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant consumer marketing and/or retail experience, excellent analytical and communication skills with a strong attention to detail. A Bachelor's degree (with marketing focus preferred) is required. Exceptional candidates will also possess a strong acumen in areas such as digital merchandising, online collaboration, Cell Phone or technology product sales and marketing, marketing and selling in different channels of distribution, and a passion for emerging technologies coupled with a proven record of creating new market opportunities.
