The Prison Reentry Initiative (PRI) Grant Coordinator will act as project manager for the 2 year, $584,00.00 grant. In addition, this position will be responsible for budget management and coordinating post release services with Faith Based and Community Organizations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for coordinating services and service providers; facilitate the continued identification, development and maintenance of government and community partnerships and linkages necessary for effective offender reentry/transition efforts including: the development of Memorandums of Understanding; clarification of interagency procedures; and the identification of barriers and obstacles to reentry/transition services. Responsible for developing and managing program outcomes including ensuring the collection of relevant data and contract obligations. Responsible for coordinating with facility staff and offenders and field services; developing a steering committee and coordinating all meetings and activities; monitoring reentry and transition service delivery and providing consultation and recommendations on offender reentry practices, policy and procedure development, staff training needs, and program and community resource development.

Will require travel to Lusk and Newcastle, WY regularly. Location of this position is in Cheyenne, WY.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Proven ability in state wide project management with experience in facilitating and managing multi-agency partnerships and work groups, budget preparation, and evaluation/outcomes management; knowledge of national and state transition/reentry efforts, best practice methodology and community resources; knowledge of treatment, education and gender specific issues for criminal justice population; ability to work cooperatively with a multi disciplinary team, community agencies and state agencies; knowledge of the WY criminal justice system; knowledge of vocational training opportunities and workforce opportunities available to offenders; knowledge of federal budget processes and tracking; skill in use of personal computers to include word processing and spreadsheets; skill in oral and written communication; skill in grammar and spelling; skill in interpersonal relations; skill in work organization; skill in managing confidentiality concerns; skill in the ability to prioritize work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in criminal justice, education, business management, social services or related field.

Candidates will be subject to background and reference investigation and shall be required to submit to urinalysis testing to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
