User Experience Engineer --Lead
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of user experience professionals
Plan, design and conduct UI designs for Digital TV
Drive user interface designs from conceptualization through prototyping to implementation
Create a collaborative environment, serving as a mentor, assigning and overseeing the work of teamConduct task/workflow analyses of existing and emerging user work practices to create specifications for every action, interaction and result and to translate requirements into a functional user interface design
Communicate UI requirements, best practices and guidelines to developers and designers
Research User Interface and Graphic Design trends
Perform evaluations on DTV UI
Assist in building a quality team
Qualifications:
Bachelor*s degree, Master*s degree preferred, in HCI, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Cognitive Psychology, or closely related discipline required
8+ years (Lead) of professional UX design experience in DTV or Broadcasting Services and/or Web application user interface design, project management and usability testing
Demonstrated skills with task/workflow analyses, functional specification creation and UI design standards
Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and follow through
Ability to multi-task effectively under considerable pressure of deadlines and be easily adaptable/flexible within a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to create effective UI design from loosely defined requirements
Deep knowledge of user interface design principles
Knowledge of Web 2.0 interaction paradigms and technologies is a plus
