Marketing Manager- Business & Economics
Responsibilities:
Develops, plans, implements and evaluates effective marketing plans for assigned products to achieve sales forecasts. Participates in the development of sales objectives, strategies, product information materials, and promotional programs. Participates fully in the integrated product development model with the editorial team. Must manage assigned budget. Responsible for revenue goals for assigned discipline. Depending on experience, position can be a Marketing Manager or Sr. Marketing Manager grade level.
Coordinate the development and maintenance of essential product information working with editors, authors, and copywriters to develop accurate and current data that will serve as the basis for catalogs, websites, product kits, book bulletins, brochures, space advertising and training materials.
Communicate to field sales force regarding important product information and marketing issues and trends.
Develop and recommend marketing objectives.
Prepare, implement, monitor, review and evaluate marketing plans for selected titles.
Analyze market trends and potential market opportunities and participate in market research, market planning and product development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Publishing field sales experience required
Higher Education publishing sales experience preferred
Marketing and/or Editorial experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems is desired.
Must be an energetic & creative self-starter
30% travel required
