Position Description
Systems Engineer and analyst specializing in underwater system design. Lead/conduct key SE efforts including CONOPS development, functional analysis, requirements analysis and allocation, trade studies, design evaluation, and system/segment requirements specification generation. Technical interface with customer, subcontractor, and co-contractor representatives. Works under minimal supervision and teaches/mentors junior level technical staff. Some travel required.The successful candidate must have a broad engineering or scientific background and demonstrated capability in multidiscipline engineering tasks (EE, ME, SW Engineering) and demonstrated technical acumen with mission experience. Must have experience in developing mission CONOPS and derviving system/segment requirements. Experience in participation in discussions as a subject matter expert with customers, associate contractors, peer groups, etc. is required. Proven understanding of the SE process, primarily in the areas of functional and performance requirements derivation. The position requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a TS/SSBI security clearance. Current TS/SSBI is desired.
