This position will recommend and implement changes in rotating equipment systems to improve reliability, operability, reduce downtime and increase throughput. It will also help improve and administer existing preventive and predictive maintenance activities, such as investigate rotating equipment failures, reviewing and approving rotating equipment design calculations, upgrading equipment, and troubleshooting rotating equipment failures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Creates equipment standards and drives equipment improvement
Manages the repair of Capital Spare equipment
Responsible for equipment Bills of Material for maintenance
Maintains and updates plant equipment files, as needed
Develops maintenance strategies (Run to failure, Condition Based Monitoring, etc.)
Required Skills:

Ability to lead failure analysis (FMEA & RCA), top 10 failure list, Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR), and other KPI's to track progress.
Ability to maintain critical documentation and flow of information relative to the Maintenance Department's function, both internal and external to the department, which includes items such as maintenance procedures, technical reports, MOC's and AFE's.
Able to create work plans for condition monitoring system.
Organizational skills
Complex problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience Required:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical or equivalent engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience within the chemical processing industry as an equipment engineer or in an equipment reliability role.
