Responsible for improving the overall reliability of the TPC Houston Plant instrument and electrical systems by working closely with the operations and the maintenance teams to resolve problems and design engineered improvements. Supports capital projects as required. Responsible for Plant electrical distribution system reliability, including 69 KV, 13.8 KV and 2300 volt systems. Troubleshoots and improves instrumentation systems. Responsible for reviewing and updating any PSM compliance issues. This position will also serve in a technical advisory role on I&E equipment operational, engineering, and repair issues and defines I&E equipment repair work scopes and supervises repairs as needed, ensuring quality check points.
Required Skills:
Troubleshooting, analytical and computer skills.
Ability to utilize failure analysis (FMEA & RCA), top 10 failure list, Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR) and other KPI's to track reliability progress.
Experience Required:
5+ years of working experience with instrumentation and electrical systems in the chemical processing industry.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering/or equivalent technical field.
