John Deere Agricultural Division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work on manufacturing engineering projects and provide manufacturing engineering support for improvement of safety, quality, cost and delivery on the production floor. In this position, you will:

Champion and improve overall product flow and line design within the factory, working through and directing projects from start to finish.
Use Wplanner and other tools to develop, analyze and improve line design and production processes.
Use AutoCAD and/or Pro-E to develop, analyze and improve manufacturing layouts and tools.
Work with all types of people and personalities, including assemblers, other engineers, suppliers, etc.
Interface with both 1st and 2nd shift employees.
Be part of new product programs for the development of manufacturing line designs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Agricultural Engineering.

Required Skills and Experience

AutoCad and/or Pro-E experience.
Ability to plan and lead implementation of projects from start to finish.
Ability to work with, communicate with, and provide leadership and direction to a diverse group of production employees.
3 - 5 plus years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role.

Desired Skills and Experience

Wide range of experience with welding, painting, and assembly processes.
Experience in one or more related engineering area: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality.
Strong knowledge of Vismockup, WPlanner, and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools.
Experience performing line balancing and conducting time studies.
