John Deere Credit was founded to offer financing solutions to the industries we serve and the customers we know best. In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services. John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects.
John Deere Credit is seeking a Closeout Rep I. Responsibilities include:
Supports the dealer termination process through the monitoring of dealer balances and transferring of equipment and parts associated with changes in dealer status.
Support Deere's closeout activities -- terminations, contract changes, consolidations, etc. Support Wholesale Management and the Closeout Reps.
Serve as back up for the four current Closeout Rep IIs.
Coordinate administrative functions -- such as the Closeout worksheet, month end dealer statements, BIRD notices, setting up files for each new close, record retention (shipping off site, retrieving off site records, & logging files), etc.
Assist with revamping current policies & procedures.
Assist with requests from others -- such as litigation files, researching payouts (i.e., AOR, reserve, etc.), etc.
Transfers equipment, parts, attachments, and tools based upon state buy- back laws and direction from sales branch or wholesale credit personnel.
Ensures appropriate accounting entries are processed for discounts, parts credits, depreciation, and write-offs.
Follows up with sales branch and wholesale credit personnel to ensure efficient and effective processing of terminated dealer transactions.
Provides litigation department and Manager of Close-out department deficiency amount information when close-out becomes adversarial.
Ensures Dealer Purchase For Rental (DPFR)/shop notes maintained on the retail note system are captured on terminated dealer's final statement balance or have been paid in full/resolved.
Assists in maintaining dealer close-out reports.
Skills
Administrative experience such as scheduling, planning, utilizing office equipment and other such clerical activities.
Experience in using Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and other Microsoft tools.
Knowledge of credit operations, finance programs, dealer agreements and dealer reserve procedures, ideally including the processes followed at John Deere Credit.
Knowledge of the Company's credit policies.
Knowledge of operational systems, accounting and process improvement methodologies.
Education
Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience.
