John Deere Dubuque Works is seeking a Supply Base Manager, Electrical and
Electronics to work with cross functional teams within Construction & Forestry and enterprise peers to select long term suppliers. In this position, you will:
Lead and facilitate team meetings, supplier negotiations for long term agreements, warranty, Product Improvement Programs (PIP), Achieving Excellence reviews, and other areas as needed.
Be responsible for Supply Base Management activities for Electrical/Electronic components.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for commodities worldwide.
Develop and analyze Request for Quotes and Request for Proposals.
Negotiate long term agreements and develop supplier relationships.
Implement sourcing decisions; work with the Implementation and Optimization group for suppliers.
Lead Achieving Excellence supplier rating developments and reviews.
Negotiate warranty and Product Improvement Programs (PIP) settlements as required.
Travel 15-25% both domestic and international.
Education
Four year degree in Engineering/Technology, Supply Management or equivalent experience.
MBA is desired.
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to communicate, negotiate, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Solid understanding of Supply Management systems, processes and tools.
Experience leading/managing multi cross functional projects.
Experience in Supply Management specific to Supplier Integration, Strategic Supply Management, and Supplier Development.
Technical background & experience with electrical & electronic components such as: Lights, Displays, Controllers, Instrument Clusters, Harnesses, Battery Cables, Actuators, Motors, Alternators, Sound Systems, Switches Sensors, and Joysticks.
Desired Skills and Experience
Demonstrated Supply Management experience with Product Delivery Process (PDP), Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) and Cost Management.
Work experience in various cross functional areas such as: Manufacturing Operations, Engineering and/or Quality.
