Ergonomics Coordinator
The Ergonomics Coordinator plans, directs and manages all aspects of Enloe's Ergonomic Program. He/she assists facility leaders in creating an environment of optimal safety outcomes by implementation and continuance of the Eliminating Injuries Through Education (ELITE) Program including commitment to coordinating training and assuring compliance through diligent application of Enloe's ergonomic, healthy moves and injury prevention policies. He/she collaborates with Employee Health and Human Resources to obtain injury statistics for analysis. Serves as a resource to Employees, Managers, Human Resources, and insurance carrier to research and problem solve issues surrounding employee musculoskeletal injuries. He /she is responsible for investigation and coordination of follow-up when musculoskeletal injury to staff occurs.
Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences required. Formal Training in Ergonomics desired. Recent management experience desired. Formal training in occupational/employee health desired. Current CPR recognition desired. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements to include JCAHO standards, Title 22, American with Disabilities Act, and OSHA as it relates to employee safety and the ability to design and implement policies and procedures to ensure ergonomic compliance. Must have knowledge of contemporary employee injury trends. Must have the ability to teach, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must demonstrate technical competence and professional clinical judgment. Must have knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft applications (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.), ergonomics, and conduction of worksite evaluation, monitoring and tracking. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Medical Center core values. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
