How would you like to drive PR for the largest gaming platform in the world? The IEB PR team seeks a passionate PR Manager to create and execute progressive and tactical campaigns for the PC gaming category across both online and retail branded titles. This position will drive PR for Games for Windows and casual games brands integrating hardware, software, and internal teams into solid and successful PR activities. As the ideal candidate, you aspire to seed continuous business, consumer, and industry stories about the revolution of games on the Windows platform, showcasing leading technologies and seeding community stories emanating from the industry's most prolific games platform. In this role, you'll work with teams from the Windows Group, MS Casual Games Group, and Games for Windows - LIVE. You will integrate with both marketing and product colleagues in driving press activities at events like CES, GDC, E3, Gamefest, and showcase events. You'll also manage a PR agency team to drive consumer, technology, and enthusiast coverage for the PC gaming category.
Candidates for this role must have a strong track record of coordinating activities among disparate groups, working on effective communication strategies and driving high-impact PR execution. You've also demonstrated your ability to implement successful, metrics-driven PR programs, working closely with other groups including technical leads in product development teams, product marketers, sales and marketing teams, and PR agencies. You've proven that you can effectively manage agency relationships. You have the passion and aptitude for acquiring thorough knowledge of technical products and incorporating that understanding into your plans and your external communication.
Additional requirements:
At least 7 years of PR/marketing experience, preferably with consumer technology products, with a steady progression of increasing responsibility and impact
Outstanding communication skills
Ability to work effectively against deadlines
Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to drive results with virtual teams across functions and geographies
Experience in the games industry strongly preferred
BA/BS in relevant discipline
