Perficient Inc. has open positions for a WebSphere Portal Technical Architect with a very strong background in J2EE-based software architecture, design and development and systems integration. This person must have experience in object-oriented methodologies, and proven abilities to design, develop, test and implement complex portal solutions. As a member of a highly skilled technology and business team, you will be responsible for conducting vendor product selections, developing technology strategies, architecting/designing solutions and leading teams through their implementation.
Strong knowledge of WebSphere Portal components, services and frameworks
Strong database and SQL knowledge
Strong relational database design experience
Basic networking knowledge (topologies, IP sprayers, routers, gateways, TCP/IP)
Basic understanding of security technologies (Digital Certificates, LDAP, SSO, etc.)
Familiar with project management principles
Familiar with project management and software development methodologies (RUP, Agile, XP, etc.)
Familiar with the core design patterns and best practices (OO/Gang-of-Four, J2EE, Architecture)
