Click Wholesale Distributing is one of the fastest growing distributors of fine wine and specialty beer in the Western Washington market. A privately held six year old company, with 40 employees, 2007 revenue of $11 million (2008 forecast of $13 million), Click Wholesale is demonstrating the ability to grow into a pre-eminent distribution company. We have an immediate opening for a Controller who would be responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. This individual would provide leadership, coordination and actual task performance in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Direct, coordinate and prepare company financial planning, budget management functions and financial transactions.
2. Full cycle G/L accounting, maintaining GAAP standards
3. Responsible for account reconciliation, adjusting and closing journal entries and all other financial statement production.
4. Federal tax returns, B&O taxes, State and Federal liquor tax compliance
5. Prepare and analyze monthly operating results against budget; prepare periodic forecasts.
6. Maintain operational knowledge of computer systems.
7. Performs other accounting functions as needed.
8. Provides excellent customer service.
9. Responsible for inventory control and stock counts.
10. Manage the company's human resource requirements including payroll and personnel files.
ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Reports directly to the two Partners (CEO & COO).
2. Is evaluated after 90 days, then annually thereafter.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Accounting degree, Qualified CPA
2. Minimum Five years G/L accounting experience on integrated computerized system.
3. Experience and competence with journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, B&O tax, financial statements, financial analysis, budgeting, payroll, payables, receivables and cash management.
4. Working knowledge of local, state and federal taxes.
5. Advanced Spreadsheet (Excel and Access) and Office Suite proficiency.
6. DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
7. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong analytical skills.
9. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem solve.
10. Work independently with minimal additional staff support.
11. Banking relationships.
12. Experience with audited financials a plus.
