Immediate Job Opening:
Northwest Family Life (NWFL) is currently looking for an office assistant to support our counseling staff and operations. The person in this vital position will have direct contact with clients and must represent NWFL in a very personable and professional manner. This individual will be very self-motivated and will possess the following: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a very positive attitude, detail orientation, high level of responsibility, critical thinking skills, ability to work independently and as a team member, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage interruptions, excellent writing skills, ability and initiative to improve office efficiency, knowledge of domestic violence and related issues, compassion and understanding for those in crisis, and a desire to support and further the mission of NWFL.
Responsibilities include: answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments for numerous therapists, greeting clients, receiving and processing payments, preparing new client paperwork and maintaining client files, preparing fee slips, photocopying, faxing, filing, data entry, answering client questions and making appropriate referrals, keeping forms stocked, maintaining office and reception supplies, providing administrative support to staff, maintaining a neat and inviting office and reception area, providing support to Office Manager, Executive Director and Managing Director.
Skills required: expertise with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel programs, typing at least 50 wpm, experience working on a database, at least 3 years of experience in administrative support.

Job Title: Office Assistant
Salary: $10-13 per hour, DOE
Hours: 28-30 per week: job may develop into full time position
Monday - Thursday: approximately noon to 8:00 pm. Actual schedule may vary. This is an evening position - hours are non-negotiable.
