Avvo, Inc. (www.avvo.com) is a new venture-backed Internet company based in Seattle that rates and profiles every lawyer to help consumers choose the right lawyer. We launched in June, 2007 and almost immediately became recognized as a "player" in the very large, but poorly served, legal search vertical. We are passionately focused on serving the needs of consumers.
We are growing our team at a feverish pace and are currently looking for a talented Senior Product Marketing Manager. Overall responsibility will be to define Avvo's business and product strategy, and to own the business performance of Avvo's online offerings. This position will report to our VP of Products and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be the internal "business owner" of Avvo's products and work with product development, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure business and product goals are met.
* Drive business and product planning, including customer and industry research and analysis, and translate insights into compelling business, product and feature opportunities.
* Develop business requirements documents, business cases, and pricing models for both existing and new products.
* Develop and drive the go-to-market strategy for new products and features.
* Measure and analyze ongoing product/business performance, conduct quarterly business reviews, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
* Become the company expert in Avvo's industry and marketplace.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years in consumer Internet product marketing is required.
* A proven ability to define and manage innovative consumer online products and businesses.
* Strong business and analytical acumen, comfortable working with data to uncover opportunities and influence product decisions.
* Passionate user advocate and demonstrated consumer mind-set.
* Can think at strategic level and drive execution; comfortable being hands-on.
* Strong leader and persuasive communicator who can champion ideas throughout the company, including executive team.
* Experience in developing market models, forecasts, and business cases.
* Experience managing qualitative and quantitative research studies.
* Start-up experience a plus.
* BA required, MBA preferred.
