John Deere Credit is seeking an IT Analyst. Responsibilities include:
Provides application development and support to partner in the planning, delivery and/or support of business processes utilizing information technology and business practices for strategic business units.
Serves as a key team member which may include being on multiple teams and/or team lead.
Participates in the review and formation of processes.
May plan work and schedules for others for project related work.
Impact of decision-making is medium to high risk and impact.
Serves as a consultant or expert and actively shares knowledge across workgroups.
Applies information analyses to optimize the integration of major strategic business processes.
Designs and implements complex changes impacting several processes with minimal direction.n support and small enhancement efforts of medium to high complexity of medium to high risk.
Occasional project work will also be assigned.
Lead the Identification, analysis and selection of complex information technology and business practices to support strategic business process/plans.
Participate as required to design, develop, test and integrate applications of high complexity.
Lead in the implementation of information technology and business processes of high complexity.
Support, evaluate, and continuously improve information technology and business processes to maintain alignment with business plans of medium-high complexity and medium-high risk.
Lead the development and may manage a project plan and schedule for a given functional area.
Acquire solid foundation of project management.
Engage in expanded contact with varied and multiple departments and functional operations; actively participating in strategic business relationships and/or issues.
Skills
4+ years experience in analysis, design, development, and implementation of large scale applications; Strong development experience within a Java/J2EE environment;
Strong knowledge of DB2;Knowledge of XML and its related technologies, JMS, EJB, JSP, and Servlet technologies;
Experience with web development using web standards (XHTML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript); Knowledge of key engineering practices including design patterns, refactoring, and unit testing
Possesses a solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture principles and concepts;
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Previous experience in programming/software development.
Experience with applications, computing and networking.
Information technology experience and/or business experience.
Work experience in a team environment.
Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
Understanding of database administration, database design.
Software programming skills necessary to create and maintain host based and/or web based applications.
Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions.
Business Process Knowledge of assigned area(s) and/or function(s).
Analytical skills.
Education
Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
