We are looking for a talented, multifaceted, group marketing communications manger. The primary responsibility is managing a team of three to five people in the creation of visual identity and packaging for Xbox and PC (Games for Windows) games. The secondary responsibility is project management of traditional advertising (TV, Online and Print).

We are looking for candidates who have held one or more of the following positions:
Marketing Communications Position - preferably in the entertainment or gaming category
Account Management Positions (at a design firm or advertising agency)

Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is managing the team in the creation of visual identities for Xbox Games. Brand Identities are defined as the one or two key visuals that represent a given game across virtually all media (point of sale, events, web sites, etc.), as well as simple guidelines (style guide) on how to use the identity. Once the identity is completed, the team will project manage creation of game packaging that highly leverages the identity.
This candidate candidate will also be responsible for managing traditional advertising including: print ads, online ads, Videos and TV ads.

Responsibilities:
Working with product management, developers and external design firms.
Creative brief and marketing plan evaluation
Develop and maintain relationships with Advertising Agencies and Design firms
Evaluate creative work (graphics, copy, and layout) against objectives in the marketing plan (and creative brief).
Oversee the relationships with legal, operations, and product marketing to ensure proper creation of packaging, print ads and online ads (as well as other Marketing Communications Materials)
Develop and maintain working relationships with other Xbox groups-Point of Sale, Media, Public Relations, Legal, Manufacturing, Global Localization.
Manage department and production budgets.
Work with research team on appropriate creative testing

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of marketing communications experience; or account management experience within a design firm, advertising agency or corporate communications department. Experience managing a department of 2-5 employees
Must have demonstrated experience in project managing the creation of marketing communications materials
The ability to critically evaluate creative materials
Knowledge of and the ability to critically evaluate creative briefs and marketing plans
An general understanding of Media Flow Charts and Media Planning
Expertise in Brand Identity development and creation of Integrated Marketing Communications Campaigns
The ability to successfully manage multiple assignments at one time
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Presentation and communications skills
A basic understanding of press printing, pre-press and file formats
Must be interested in video games and broader entertainment (movies, music, DVDs)
Must have experience working with world wide subsidiaries
Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research
BA required
