Job Overview:
ATMI is seeking a Product Manager with experience in managing multiple product lines resulting in strong revenue growth and gross margin performance. This position is located inDanbury, Connecticut and reports into the Ion Implant business unit. The ideal candidate will be relied upon to provide technical guidance and grow relationships between internal personnel and external customers. The position requires the ability to create and execute strategies to develop differentiated products as well as communicate their value to the marketplace. Primary Responsibilities:
Establish and meet global revenue and margin targets for product lines;
Define and execute product strategy including channel to market, partner alliances, and product roadmaps;
Identify and implement growth opportunities;
Ownership of product positioning, pricing and life cycle management;
Leverage partnerships and distributor relationships to meet business objectives;
Interface with the global sales organizations influencing and directing action to meet business objectives; Provide strategic, technical and pricing guidance to sales proposals;
Steward products through NPI process. Prepare product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market;
Develop strong product cost of ownership models and business cases to gain approval of new products;
Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as R&D, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Legal and Supply Chain to accomplish business objectives;
Develop demand forecasts for products with documented key assumptions, risks and opportunities;
Identify, create and present marketing materials including presentations, data sheets, promotional and training materials;
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or science discipline;
3+ years technical marketing experience required, preferably in the semiconductor industry;
Prior experience managing projects required;
Product management experience preferred;
Demonstrated ability to manage the profitability of a product line;
Proven ability in leading cross-functional teams;
Experience developing cost of ownership models;
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal groups and external customers;
Expertise in developing customer technology roadmaps and competitive information for business cases;
Ability to develop and maintain multiple sales channels (direct & distributor).
