Primary Duties
Performing repair and maintenance activities on power equipment.
Using various tools to perform maintenance or repair.
Maintaining building environmental equipment.
Installing and repairing building fixtures.
Maintaining grounds and outside of building when required.
Maintaining power equipment at various CBT locations.
Performing maintenance or repair on power equipment including moving/installing batteries, connectors, power cable, power distribution boards, rectifiers, etc. with the aid of various tools and equipment.
Maintaining detailed records of work activities associated with the administration of maintenance of power plants located in central offices and customer locations.
May be required to cross train others.
Experience / Background
Demonstrated experience with repair and maintenance of environmental equipment.
Demonstrated experience in building maintenance.
Demonstrated experience in knowledge of air conditioning, building fixtures and plumbing.
Demonstrated experience in switch and transport power repair and maintenance.
Demonstrated experience of specific knowledge of switch translations.
Demonstrated experience in electrical and/or electronic work.
Demonstrated experience in operation and maintenance of power plant equipment, i.e., generating equipment and rectifiers.
Vocational courses in job related field in Building Maintenance/Power Maintenance.
Prerequisites
Technical Education Program ? Level II
Building Maintenance Quality Test (BMQT).
Physical Requirements: medical; able to lift/move up to 400 lbs.
Safety Requirements: Safety shoes; Weight Restriction Policy applies.
Satisfactory performance rating.
Satisfactory attendance record in last twelve months.
Work Environment
Work location: various.
Works independently with minimal supervision.
Size of office and work group varies depending on location.
May require day, evening or night tours and overtime, emergency call-outs, weekends and holidays.
May require solitary work in remote Company locations.
May require working in areas where high voltage and current are present.
Wears appropriate safety equipment and follows established safety practices and procedures.
May be required to lift/move heavy loads.
Work performed at different locations.
