The Albig Group is a search firm that specializes in placing degreed Engineers and senior-level engineering skilled people with engineering groups located in the western United States. Our client is located in the Denver Metro area and is seeking an additional Geotechnical Engineer to fill a position as Lead Engineer. The selected person must be capable of working independently, or leading a multi-national team. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred. The selected individual will be involved in completing geotechnical investigations, analysis (seepage, stability, consolidations, etc.) and designs associated with tailing dams, heap leach facilities, and other mining structures. This person could be asked to act as a Project Manager on variety of related projects, therefore, candidates should have proven project management skills, including planning and scope development, budgeting and scheduling, and implementing QC measures.
To apply, candidates must have a BS degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or a closely related field) and have 8-15 years of experience in the mining industry with some field construction experience. Candidates must be willing to travel, occasionally internationally.
