Position : Coordinator - MASH

Description :


The primary focus of this position is the management of HSN's inbound purchases, from the point of the final approval of a P.O. to the product being made "available for sale" for a planned show.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work with HSN/Subsidiary Merchandising Teams to ensure the timely review of all purchase orders prior to Vendor receipt. Review purchase orders for correct ship date perimeters prior to Vendor receipt.
Negotiate deviations in freight terms. Assist Merchants in negotiation of additional freight charges that exceed normal HSN freight cost perimeters.
Work with HSN corporate buying partners as necessary regarding vendor issues and shipping exceptions.
Work with Vendor community to ensure proper shipping and routing of each purchase order. Authorize shipments of HSN and Subsidiary purchase orders with Vendors. Review Purchase order with shipping information to ensure integrity of the vendor's shipment. Coordinate movement of HSN/Subsidiary freight with 3 rd party freight provider to ensure prompt delivery.
Maintain and manage B2B Web based application to ensure daily functionality and continued flow of goods/information between 3 rd party freight provider and Vendor community.
Coordinate with fulfillment staff to ensure timely delivery and inventory processing of HSN/Subsidiary merchandise. Review and resolve exception inbound freight issues by synergistically working with HSN/Subsidiary buying staff in a proactive manner.
Work with Vendor Compliance team to communicate deviations from standard operating procedures and to help educate Vendor community of HSN/Subsidiary standards of operation. Communicate with Vendor community on HSN/Subsidiary standards of shipping and standards of operation.
Ship to 3 rd party rework facilities as necessary. Monitor inventory shipments from rework facility back to HSN's fulfillment facility.
Communicate inventory related issues to HSN/Subsidiary Buying staff as alerted by either Customer Service, 3 rd party rework facility and/or HSN Fulfillment Centers and help facilitate resolution of issue presented.
Facilitate and manage daily status reports to HSN Fulfillment, Operations management and Merchant Partners, not limited to Domestic freight issues.
Manage and maintain timely closure of open purchase order receipts to ensure expedient payment of Vendor invoices.
Work synergistically with QA, Showroom and Planning departments to ensure integrity of HSN/Subsidiary scheduled programming.
Coordinate, facilitate and distribute special event inventory management tool to ensure smooth operations for HSN planned programming events.
Manage and facilitate timely shipment and processing of backordered merchandise to guarantee satisfaction of customer expectation.

High School Education /HS equivalent

3 or more years experience in a retail environment

Excellent understanding of Supply Chain management and timeline requirements.

Ability to understand and analyze import documentation and customs clearance information for both HSN and Non-HSN Import Purchases.

Working knowledge of purchasing, planning, warehouse management and customer service systems desired.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills.

Ability to work in fast paced, time sensitive, dynamic work environment.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and other database related applications.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with HSN or similar electronic retailer
Knowledge of HSN systems
